GOVERNORS

Mr Jonathan Pender - Chairman 

Jon has been a long serving Governor and whose children were educated at The Priory.  It was this that introduced Jon to the world of education and the important role of Governors in school life.  Jon has been Chairman for more than 10 years. Jon’s day job is as a solicitor and he has practised locally for many years. Outside School Jon’s interests include promoting Basingstoke through Destination Basingstoke, he is an experienced marathon runner/sports enthusiast and extensive overseas traveller.  Jon’s last major outing was travelling down the remote east coast of Greenland on foot.  Further plans are being progressed.

Mrs Prubie Payne-Sahota - Vice-Chair

Prubie brings a wealth of experience and expertise in education, having held numerous senior leader positions, culminating with being the Head of an outstanding Primary School.  She is now the founder and owner of a successful educational services business.  Prubie has one child at the school, with a sibling who hopes to join in the near future.

Mrs Debra Adams - Ex Officio 

Debra was promoted from Deputy Head in September 2018. She is married with two children and a lively young spaniel.

Mrs Jessica Dwerryhouse - LEA Governor 

Jessica has been a Local Education Authority Governor since November 2009.  She is Financial Monitoring Officer and is on the Performance Management and Admissions Committees.  Jessica worked at Citibank and then Barclays de Zoete Wedd (now Barclays Capital) within their Structured Finance Divisions, prior to moving to Barclays head office to work within Group HR.  She does not have children at the Priory but her family lives locally in Ibworth and she is a full time mother with a son and daughter. 

Mrs Sandra Love - Co-opted Governor 

Following over 20 years as a member of staff, Sandra took early retirement at the end of August 2016.  She is married with two children both of whom attended the Priory in the past. Sandra enjoys travelling the world and working with young cricketers at a local club.

Mrs Judith Sullivan - Parent Governor

Judith has recently joined the governing body. She is a parent of three children, two children are in secondary education with the youngest attending The Priory.

Mrs Tina Salsi - Co-opted Governor 

Tina has recently resigned from her role as a member of staff but has chosen to remain on the governing body offering a wealth of educational experience gained from many years of teaching and management. She is married with two children and lives in the local area.

Mr Robert Macdonald- Finance Governor

Robert acts for a variety of owner managed businesses, providing audit, accounting and corporate tax services to clients working across a large number of industries and sectors. He also provides outsourcing in areas such as bookkeeping and payroll, along with having knowledge of cloud based solutions, for businesses looking to save time spent on administration.

Robert is also part of the specialist education team and is involved with the external audit and internal audit of academies as well as working with other not-for-profit organisation providing audit and independent examinations.

Mrs Michelle Clare - Health & Safety Governor

Michelle has been working in Health and Safety since 2018 and has two children attending the Priory School. She has lived in the local area for over 10 years.
